George III 8-day triple weight quarter chiming musical longcase clock, chiming on a carillon of eight bells and striking the hours on another, brass arched dial with rolling moon and date markers, main dial with ormolu spandrels, the chapter ring marked with Roman and Arabic numerals for hours and minutes, centre with engraved scrollwork plus a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture. Housed in a mahogany case, the hood with a swan neck pediment surmounted by three brass finials plus bird marquetry, brass roundels and boxwood stringing, the glazed door flanked by fluted brass capped columns. Trunk with a shaped door flanked by quartered columns and below garland marquetry, box base with chamfered corners on bracket feet.
